1. Scout weekly. Yellow rust starts as bright yellow pustules in stripes on the leaf. 2. If detected: spray Propiconazole 25% EC @ 1ml/L OR Tebuconazole 25% EC @ 1ml/L. Two sprays at 15 days apart. 3. Do NOT wait for symptoms on the flag leaf — the yield damage is already done. 4. Prefer resistant varieties for next year: HD3226, DBW187, HD2967. Avoid highly susceptible varieties. 5. Report clusters via NPSS or your local KVK — helps early warning for the whole belt.
