IPM steps for Fall Armyworm: 1. Scout early. Look for windowpane feeding on young leaves + fresh sawdust-like frass in the whorl. 2. Hand-pick and destroy egg masses (they're on lower leaf surfaces). 3. Place pheromone traps at 5/acre for monitoring. 4. Spray Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG @ 4g/10L OR Spinetoram 11.7% SC @ 2ml/10L into the whorl at dusk. One application usually enough for whorl stage. 5. Rotate chemistry — do NOT spray the same molecule twice in a row. 6. Avoid broad-spectrum pyrethroids (kill natural enemies).
